Born in the Northeast Kingdom and currently living in Northfield, Sam is most happy and at home by the rivers and in the hills of Vermont. Inspired by her husband, an avid fly fishermen, Sam turned her attention to painting flies. A self taught artist, her work has attracted a wide following.
Sam works primarily in watercolor but enjoys working in many mediums including, but not limited to, spun wool, paper, wood and clay.
When not in her studio Sam enjoys fly fishing, sliding on snow, gardening and many other of life’s joys that allow her to day dream.
